Due to an upsteam fault a small number of websites and email were offline between 14:18 and 14:30.  This has been remedied and all systems are working.

We are currently aware of an external DNS issue which is affecting some customer services.

DNS is the system that translates domain names, such as website and email addresses, into the server addresses used on the internet. When DNS is not responding correctly, some services may appear unavailable even though the hosting server, website, or email service itself is still running.

Customers affected by this issue may experience:

• Websites not loading
• Intermittent access to websites
• Email delivery or connection issues
• Delays when accessing hosted services
• Services working for some users but not others

The issue appears to be external to our core hosting platform and may relate to DNS resolution or propagation outside of our direct infrastructure. This means the problem may vary depending on the customer’s internet provider, device, location, or DNS resolver.

Our team is investigating and monitoring the situation. Where possible, we are checking affected domains and DNS records to confirm that services are correctly configured on our side.

 

At this stage, customers do not need to make any changes unless advised by our support team. We will provide further updates as soon as more information is available.

Service Alert – Legacy Email Platform
We’re currently experiencing an email delivery issue affecting messages sent from our legacy email platform to Microsoft-managed mailboxes (Outlook.com, Hotmail, Microsoft 365/Office 365 and Exchange).

Microsoft and Netcom have identified the cause.

We have put measures in place to mitigate this going forward, and we are now awaiting Microsoft to complete their side of the repairs to allow normal mail flow to resume.

Customers on our new email service are not affected by this issue.

What We're Doing

  • Our engineers are actively monitoring the situation
  • We are in contact with Microsoft and upstream providers for updates
  • We are exploring any available workarounds to minimize disruption

Current Issue

We are aware that some customers are currently experiencing issues with Microsoft Exchange email services, including delays in sending/receiving emails and difficulty accessing mailboxes.

What We Know

Our technical team is actively investigating this issue. Based on our initial assessment and reports from multiple sources, this appears to be part of a global Microsoft Exchange outage affecting numerous organizations worldwide. The issue appears to be related to DNS (Domain Name System) resolution problems impacting Microsoft's infrastructure.

Impact

You may experience:

  • Delays in sending or receiving emails
  • Inability to access your mailbox via Outlook or webmail
  • Email synchronization issues on mobile devices
  • Calendar and contact sync disruptions

We have been notified by some customers of incoming spam from outside of the UK. We are investigating and implementing a new spam service to reduce this.
